What is Bioglitter PURE?

Bioglitter Pure is the world’s first 100% plastic-free glitter. It’s the only eco-friendly glitter that biodegrades in just 4 weeks! Suitable for multiple uses, and best of all non-toxic and safe to the skin.

Bioglitter Pure was introduced to the world in 2018 and launched at the largest cosmetic raw materials industry show: in-Cosmetics Global, where it won Gold for Innovation. From that moment on, its design was improved leading this eco glitter to win the Green and Sustainability category at PHCI China 2019.

This plastic-free glitter is made from plant cellulose, instead of the plastic film regular glitter uses. The cellulose is extracted from hard woods, especially eucalyptus trees from certified plantations. Also, it doesn’t contain aluminum; it has a unique iridescent effect that makes it shine.

What are the benefits of Bioglitter Pure?

Mainstream glitter has been found to be toxic, containing heavy metals, tested on animals to make sure that it would be safe for the human skin. And no matter how much they claim to be compostable or ecological, they do not comply with a certification that supports it. Pure collection by Bioglitter is not only biodegradable, but it also is:

  • GMO-free. It is not derived from GMOs created with genetic engineering.

  • CMR free. It is not carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic. It is not a hazard to human health.

  • Cruelty-free. Neither Bioglitter Pure nor its ingredients were tested on animals.

  • Non-toxic. It does not contain poison or poisonous substances. It is also heavy metals free, Bioglitter Pure does not contain aluminum which makes it suitable for use on lips and makeup.

  • Allergen-free. No trace of the most common allergens declared by the FDA.

  • FDA approved to use on the skin and lips.

  • 30%-40% softer than conventional glitter, providing a more comfortable application.

Bioglitter Pure is suitable to use on the skin and can be used on crafts too. It has endless applications. Bioglitter Pure comes in five (5) different sizes, from fine dust to larger granules, allowing people to choose the one that suits their needs better.

Does biodegradation mean it does not last long?

No, biodegradation means that it would break down in nature helped by biological agents like the sun, water, bacteria and microorganisms. Bioglitter Pure decomposes just as a leaf does in the natural environment leaving no trace.

Bioglitter Pure is not soluble and will not dissolve in water; it needs more than that. While you keep it in its container, it would last as much as any other glitter; that is why it is recommendable to use a brush to apply it or pour it out the container.

For all the reasons and certifications mentioned above, Bioglitter Pure is #1 when we talk about eco-friendly glitter.
