How will I know if my order has been successfully placed?

You will receive an Order Confirmation email from Today Glitter. This will be sent to the email address you provided when you placed your order. The email will contain your order number and a summary of your order. Please print and retain for your records. If for any reason you did not receive a confirmation email, please contact customer service at: hello@todayglitter.com

How do I cancel or modify my online order?

Due to the processing times of our orders, we are unable to cancel or change orders once they have been placed.

How long does it take for my order to ship?

We ship in 24 to 48hr. Orders in the 1kg packaging may have a lead time of 2 to 3 weeks. 

Will Bioglitter™ would dissolve in UV ink? The light fastness of the product: if printed with, will still keep its original shine/shimmer etc?

Deco Bioglitter™ is being used successfully in UV systems in the UK.  All feedback we have is that it works well. To best of our knowledge, Bioglitter™ won’t dissolve in UV ink and works well in UV systems. 

Light fastness of the pigments used is 6-7 on the yellow, 7-8 on the other pigments (Blue wool scale).  So would expect light fastness to be good. However, we have not tested the actual glitter.

Does Bioglitter™ dissolve in water? 

Genuine Bioglitter does not dissolve in water, it needs environmental bacteria and other environmental microorganisms to biodegrade. 

How does Bioglitter biodegrade? 

Once it enters the natural environment, such as a farmer’s field, wastewater or our rivers and lakes, microbes will consume the biodegradable content turning it into carbon dioxide, water and biomass. 

No microbes = No biodegradation

 In a microbe and bacteria free environment Bioglitter™ is completely durable.

How fast can Bioglitter™ biodegrade? 

Bioglitter™ Pure range is produced from a specialized modified regenerated cellulose base file that is biodegradable in the natural environment. We believe no other glitter is based on this technology. Its certified OK biodegradable in WATER by TUV Austria. The glitter base film is certified to EB13432 and ASTM D6400 standards for industrial compostability. OK compost HOME certified and produced from renewable raw materials in responsibility managed forest certified to FSC and PEFC standards. Has been independently tested by OWS using ISO 14851/2 for freshwater biodegradation. The results prove that Bioglitter PURE readily biodegrades in freshwater conditions representing waterways found in the natural environment, such as rivers and lakes. 

Bioglitter™ Sparkle range is produced from a specialized modified regenerated cellulose base file that is biodegradable in the natural environment. We believe no other glitter is based on this technology. Certified to EN13432 and ASTM D6400 standards for individuals compostability, OK compost Home certified, Marine biodegradation approved to ASTM D6691-09 and produced from renewable raw materials in responsibility managed forest certified to FSC and PEFC standards. Has been independently tested by OWS using ISO 14851 Aqueous biodegradation test, This fresh water biodegradability test prove that Bioglitter Sparkle biodegrades in the natural environment. In only 28 days biodegradation was far progressed with the vast majority of the biodegradable content of Bioglitter® Sparkle biodegraded.

Shelf Life

Bio-glitter™ as supplied in its natural state has an indefinite shelf life providing that it is stored in a dry, dark, cool environment out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources and not exposed to microorganisms. However for good manufacturing practice we would recommend to use the product within 3 years to ensure optimum condition.
